Michael Sancimino, Managing Partner and Lead Instructor of Search Engine Academy New York Metro has been named one of the “Rising Stars" for 2008; a recognition of young business professionals in Westchester County. The award will be presented by the Business Council of Westchester in a ceremony on June 19 at Master Card International in Purchase New York. Modeled after the national business recognition program “Forty Under Forty,” the Business Council has honored the extraordinary accomplishments of Westchester’s most promising business leaders under the age of 40 each year since 2004.

Rising Stars are measured on three key dimensions: professional accomplishments, leadership qualities and community service. Michael's professional accomplishments include an early career in two large global organizations holding senior information technology positions at both the Gartner Research Group and Novartis Corporation. He transitioned from a corporate career to follow his entrepreneurial calling demonstrating his leadership ability to create the 3RD ANGLE Technologies and 3RD ANGLE Search enterprises and launch the Search Engine Academy NY Metro.

Michael is recognized beyond his professional accomplishments for his commitment to family and community. He is a dedicated husband and father of three. He sits on the Computer Science Advisory Board of Iona College. He is the commissioner of a baseball division for the Shrub Oak Athletic Club and Coaches youth baseball and youth football teams. He created and maintains the Shrub Oak Athletic Club web site on a Pro Bono basis.
